We use few, fewer, and fewest (pocas, menos y menos) with the things that can be counted.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>You cannot count:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><em>My brother has less desire to study because he is older.\u00a0<\/em>(Mi hermano tiene menos ganas de estudiar\u00a0 porque ya es mayor).<\/li>\n<li><em>My mother has less desire to go out than to watch televisi\u00f3n.\u00a0<\/em>(Mi madre tiene menos ganas de salir que de ver la televisi\u00f3n).<\/li>\n<li><em>The light has less force in this room.\u00a0<\/em>(La luz tiene menos fuerza en esta habitaci\u00f3n).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>It can be counted<\/strong>\u00a0:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><em>My mother has fewer steaks than my father.\u00a0<\/em>(Mi madre tiene menos filetes que mi padre).<\/li>\n<li><em>Does the cinema have fewer people than soccer?\u00a0<\/em>(\u00bfEl cine tiene menos personas que el f\u00fatbol?)<\/li>\n<li><em>Much or Many? (\u00bfMucho o muchos?).<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We use the irregular adjective much (a lot) with things that cannot be counted, and we use many (many) for things that can be counted.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>You cannot count:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><em>There is not much time to complete this task.\u00a0<\/em>(No hay mucho tiempo para completar esta tarea)<\/li>\n<li><em>I do not have much time.\u00a0<\/em>(No tengo mucho tiempo).<\/li>\n<li><em>There was not much provision. (<\/em>No hubo mucha disposici\u00f3n.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>You can count:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><em>We still have many assignments to complete.<\/em>(Todav\u00eda tenemos muchas asignaciones por completar).<\/li>\n<li><em>Many investors still purchase stock.
