It is the past participle of\u00a0<em>be<\/em> &#8220;ser&#8221;, so it is always wrong to write <em>is been<\/em> &#8220;ha sido&#8221;. The combination\u00a0<em>has been<\/em> &#8220;ha sido&#8221; is correct and shows the sign of the present perfect. For example, <em>Ram has composed a poem<\/em>\u00a0\u201cRam ha compuesto un poema\u201d.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"significado\"><strong>Meaning of <\/strong><strong>Had been?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><em>Had been<\/em> &#8220;Hab\u00eda sido&#8221; means that something started in the past, lasted some time and then ended.
