They stood up and clapped.<br \/>\nTodos disfrutaron del concierto. (Ellos) se pusieron de pie y aplaudieron.<\/li>\n<li>I will tell somebody that dinner is ready. (Ellos) han estado esperando mucho tiempo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We can use the <strong>saxon genitive (&#8220;-&#8216;s&#8221;)<\/strong> with indefinite pronouns of people and things to indicate possession.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Is everyone\u2019s money?<br \/>\n\u00bfEs el dinero de todos?<\/li>\n<li>They were staying in somebody\u2019s house.<br \/>\nSe estaban quedando en la casa de alguien.<\/li>\n<li>Is this anybody\u2019s coat?<br \/>\n\u00bfEs este el abrigo de alguien?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In affirmative sentences, the indefinite pronouns that use some- are used to describe an indefinite quantity.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Someone is sleeping in my bed.<br \/>\nAlguien duerme en mi cama.<\/li>\n<li>Would you like something to eat?<br \/>\n\u00bfTe gustar\u00eda algo para comer?<\/li>\n<li>There is something in the sky.<br \/>\nHay algo en el cielo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Indefinite pronouns with every- are used to describe a complete quantity.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Everyone is sleeping in my bed.<br \/>\nTodos est\u00e1n durmiendo en mi cama.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pronouns with no- are used to <strong>describe an absence<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No one is sleeping in my bed.<br \/>\nNadie duerme en mi cama.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Indefinite pronouns with no- are often used in affirmative sentences with a negative meaning, but these are not <strong>negative sentences<\/strong> because they lack the word no.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There is nowhere as beautiful as Paris.<br \/>\nNo hay lugar tan hermoso como Par\u00eds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In <strong>negative sentences<\/strong>, we use no- pronouns, not pronouns with any-.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nobody came. (NOT Anybody didn\u2019t come).<br \/>\nNadie vino. (NO Nadie no vino).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>No other negative is used in a sentence with nobody, not one or nothing. Nobody came. (NO one did not come).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nobody came. (NOT Nobody didn\u2019t come).<br \/>\nNo pas\u00f3 nada. (NO No pas\u00f3 nada).<\/li>\n<li>Nothing happened. (NOT Nothing didn\u2019t happen).<br \/>\nNo pas\u00f3 nada.
